Plugins range from the obscure but ubiquitous Hello Dolly to the almost essential Akismet and All in One SEO pack. The most popular plugins are the ones that provide a necessary service and have become part of our daily lives. As I blog, I want to do certain things with my blog. Akismet Updated, Connectivity Reporting Issues Solved

For the past few days many of you may have been seeing connectivity issues with Akismet. The Akismet team was related to a timing bug in the code, however that has now been fixed and a new version of Akismet has been released. The problem was a bug in the plugin’s diagnostic code that caused it to falsely report problems in some circumstances, even though everything was working correctly. Upgrading to Akismet 2.2.5 will solve the connectivity reporting issues you may have been seeing.
