A good point. To build a solid foundation for your starter themes you must first do it and if you make any mistakes you can just easily undo them and learn from it.
Can i use starter theme like _s for creating my own site, or sould i try some framework (assuming i’m new with php..)? (whats the different between a framwork to starter theme anyway?…
A starter theme is basically a theme that is already made for you, but it’s an incredibly simple layout, so it’s designed for you to edit and add to as desired.
I agree that for a beginner, the theme needs to be simple but elegant. However over time, one learns how to make simple changes to the theme based on their individual needs.
James began using WordPress in 2004. Being new to WordPress (and blogging in general), he quickly found the WordPress Support Forums and basically never left. James currently resides in sunny Southern California, where he enjoys bringing happiness to millions of WordPress.com users.
I am also planning to use Starter theme for developing a unique theme for my site.
