MT-Blacklist and Comment Spam Clearinghouse Closed Jay chooses to close down the clearinghouse to protest ubiquitous and unscrupulous programmers hitting the blacklist more than they should have. My personal view on blacklists aside, thanks for all your work Jay. Thanks to Threadwatch for the news.

Writeboard Use “Collection” as the password to access the WriteBoard. Like Uploadbin (or Pastebin) on steroids. Well, steroids with a sprinkling of sanity. I cannot decide whether to think that this is something I never knew I wanted or something that I never knew I disliked. WP Plugin: Chitika eMiniMalls Darren over at Problogger.net had a great review of Chitika and I have been running them myself for some time (though this blog sucks with basically any and all kinds of clickthrough ads). Proel wrote this plugin to selectively add minimalls to posts. This could be useful if you only want to pick and choose your ad posts. I am not going to display an ad here for everyone to click. 30GB Web Mail Launches Into Beta: This takes the cake. Of course the 30gigs.com site is down with a mysql error. I wonder how long this one will last. Heck, I sticll haven’t filled up less than half of my GMail space (and hope never to do so!) [UPDATE] Site is back up but I notice this disclaimer “Notice: We collect personal information on this site.” Ummm… there was an uproar when Google wanted to read through email to generate ads. How do they think they can pull this off?

Simple PHP Gallery I don’t think the simplicity, ease of use and the absolute beauty of this software was quite obvious to me till tonight. I needed to put up about two hundred pictures in relative anonymity into a simple gallery that would not be a hassle to install. Al I have to say is….WOW. The install took all of twenty seconds, the gallery was up in another three seconds and all I did was move the pictures into the right folder and view the gallery page. From one developer to another, kudos to Paul Griffin! This is how software should be.
