Yahoo unveils blog search tool Is this an attempt to one up Google blog search or as Jeremy says, ( I can’t find the post right now) did Yahoo already have blog search in the works but was not timely enough to release it before Google? In any case, you judge the results. I personally think they still need a lot more data and more fine tuning and the results page make it look like Feedster (or does Feedster look like Yahoo?)

The server move is done again and this time I hope to not fat finger anything. I did lose a large amount of traffic from Google and all my blogs and my revenue seems to have suffered tremendously from making this change. Here is to a lifetime of learning. In case people are wondering, I decided to get a 1and1 root server. It was at the best price point and there were features I really appreciate. Here is my affiliate link for 1and1. Thanks to everyone for being patient. PS: If you sign up for 1and1 through my affiliate link, it helps me with my hosting charges. 😉

Macworld: The best blogging tools for the MacRight now, the blogging tools most popular with Mac users are TypePad and Movable Type, both from Six Apart; Blogspot and Blogger, from Blogger (now part of Google); and WordPress, an open-source tool. These five tools range in power and complexity from simple-but-limited (TypePad, Blogger, and Blogspot) to do-pretty-much-anything-but-may-require-coding (WordPress). Movable Type is somewhere between these two extremes. Thanks Google Alerts

Is webstats4u (formerly Nedstat) hurting your site? All traces of Nedstat and/or webstats4u have been removed from all of my sites. There are many reasons for this removal. The popups were just pure annoying The popups might be violating AdSense (and other ad package) policies in spite of the fact that the popups were not contextual. Though there is no empirical data to prove it, I have read in the past that popups might reduce Google traffic Though there is no empirical data to prove it, I know for a fact that a large percentage of web visitors hate popups 😉 I refuse to allow the kind of tactics that webstats4u has decided to employ There are way too many good online statistics packages (free ones) for anyone to continue using webstats4u In addition to the above, I would like to clear IceRocket of any wrongdoing. The popups were a […]
