Just tried the Sukelius Magazine theme – does one need to install an extra plugin to get the content slider functionality to work with this theme? Doesn’t seem to be doing anything on my test site anyway – am using Firefox 18.0.1 and windows 7 in case that matters.

Steve – I’ve had a similar issue with the content slider… gave up after fiddling around with it for a while. I found the Sukelius theme quite messy to customise in any case – way too reliant on javascript for my liking.

I also need the content slider functionality so decided to go with the Genesis theme and the Dynamic Content Gallery plugin instead.. works like a dream!

Just a quick note regarding the slider. Make sure you are not trying to use it on a “post” as apposed to a “page”. Some themes don’t let you use the slider on posts for some reason. Bit silly really, as it looks cool on some sites I have done.

Hi James . can i use the Sukelius Magazine theme for my new WordPress site coz i want to use the content slider functionality . So will it be compatible for the latest WordPress version ?

It was released 4 days ago, so it had better be compatible with the latest version of WordPress. At the very least, it worked for me on WordPress 3.5.1.
