Monochrome Gallery
A two column magazine based theme with a AJAX based post slideshow on the home page. The home page also displays category post with thumbnails. You can also find a extended sidebar in the footer. Only for WordPress 2.3 and above.

FreshMedia
FreshMedia uses some fresh and lively colors and provides with a widgetized sidebar and footer area, though the huge header steals some screen real estate in the first scroll.

BoxTube
This is a two column theme with vibrant colors and some nice graphics. The theme also sports a extended sidebar in the footer area. Overall a nice looking theme with some handy options for advertising.

Three Column Themes
Deep Fear
Deep Fear is a three column theme which makes use of dark colors. Again the huge header steals screen real estate in the first scroll.
Monochrome is the best of the bunch. WP-Photogenic is slightly too cluttered on the top and bottom, but has the right idea.

Agree that Monochrome is one of the best 😉 I love the Ajaxified post part, although personally it would be as a side thing for me rather than the bulk of the initial view.
Some pretty slick surprises here. At first glance I wasn’t all that impressed. But, always dig deeper before you pass judgement!
Monochrome – is a great magazine style theme. Very crisp, clear and easy to understand.
FreshMedia – is pretty slick, though a little bland on the color. A soft background may make this in my eyes.
Deep Fear – is nice – easy to read and .. well, pretty basic really. Nothing extremely new but pretty good anyway.
BoxTube – won’t load for me … so I can’t pass my thoughts with this.
WP Photogenic – not my up of tea.

I also have to agree that Monochrome is one of the best themes I’ve seen so far. I have tried a lot of different themes but I feel most comfortable with my own design. It’s a great feeling to accomplish something.

Great themes… I like the picture viewer, I’m going to suggest this to a friend of mine who has a personal blog that displays his photos (he recently took up the hobby of photography!).
