Gridline Lite is a 3-column, minimalistic theme that also comes in two other styles.
Insan is a 3-column theme with a very clean, professional layout and design.
More Than Multiple Widgets is a 2-column theme that six different widgetized areas throughout the header, sidebar, and footer.
Structure is a news/magazine-style theme with built-in video and image features and re-arrangeable content blocks.
Gridline costs money.
Wait, ok not the lite version. Every other version does
As I told Justin on his blog, Structure is simply awesome. Up until now my fave news/mag layout was Brian Gardner’s News Revolution but Structure is just as good. I also can’t believe he’s giving it away.
Insan – check the header. You need to change the Author.
Maybe whether a theme is GPL or not should be added. Of the above More than Multiple has the GPL text but no file actually says GPL. The others do not mention it, all have footer links.
Footer links aren’t bad as such, but authors really should be a little clearer.
Insan Author: I added author & license details. Thanks
The Gridline Lite does not seem to work.
I meant to say, The Gridline Lite ‘Download Link’ does not seem to work. It returns a 404 error.
Thanks for posting one of my themes again.
Mark – Just in case you were wondering, my theme (Structure) is licensed under the “Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license.” Not all themes are GPL either. I do agree that some theme authors need to be more open about the licensing. I try to always mention in several places and provide a “license.txt” file with my themes, so that there are no licensing issues. Also, footer links are very commonplace. It really needs no mention, as long as it’s a link back to the theme author’s site.
Structure is the best WordPress theme I’ve ever try, I grab the 1.0 release and coded every single aspect of it to make it right the way I wanted. I choose not to use widgets and I’m having a great time. Stop by my site and tell me if youl like it. Thanks WTC and Justin.
Für Leute, die zu faul/blöd/was weiß ich/… sind, das favicon.ico ins Rootverzeichnis zu packen, für die gibt es ein Plugin. Mir erschließt sich der Sinn gerade nicht wirklich.
