   It would be great to have such a tool for linux. Since it based on Growl and wirtten it python it should not be a big deal to transform this tool to linux.

   A minor point, but the name of the operating system is Mac OS X (space between OS & X, and it’s always Mac OS X. Can’t help pointing this out — worked too many years at Apple.
