PhotoQ is a WordPress plugin that makes your (or at least my) photoblogging life easier. It is most suited for “one photo a day”-style web pages i.e., classical photoblogs. In essence, PhotoQ allows you to manage your future posts in a queue. The plugin then gives you the possibility to have the top of the queue automatically posted at a given interval. PhotoQ also takes away the hassle of browsing uploaded image files and embedding them into posts: You simply upload your photo to the queue and enter desired information about the photo. PhotoQ then automatically generates the post based on this information. A Registration Blacklist allows the banning use of specific email addresses and domains from user registration. Reddit Button is a WordPress plugin that displays a reddit button in your posts. Includes the ability to autodetect if the post is submitted. Keyword Generator will scan your pages and […]

WP Ultimate Gamer’s Pack Hot in the heels of the WordPress Wii Plugin comes the WordPress Gamer’s Pack with support for the Wii, PSP and DS Lite. There are also plans for the recently introduced Apple Inc. iPhone optimized version of a plugin for WordPress. All of this is part of the R&D (and I suspect, promotion) of Winksite.

WP Plugin: Barunio Administration As an extension of the Custom Admin Menu Plugin and as a redesign/theme for the admin interface of WordPress, Barun has released his Barunio Administration plugin that transforms your hosted WordPress backend (no pun intended). Installation is simple but I seem to have run across a bug with italics. Looks very smooth and it is a better layout if you use the custom admin menu plugin to create nested submenus.

WP Plugin: Custom Admin Menu

WP Plugin: Custom Admin Menu This plugin will let you customize just about everything having to do with the organization of your WordPress administration. You can relabel and rearrange menu items. You can create sub-sub-sub-menus, or nest menus as deeply as you want! You can change the parent of a submenu item, or move a submenu item to the top-level menu. You can move something from the top-level menu to a submenu. You can hide any menu or submenu item. There is also a screencast for those interested in seeing its functionality. Nicely done and a very cool plugin with a multitude of possibilities and one of those few pieces of code that made me say to myself, “I wonder what this looks like inside?”. The power of this plugin is not only in using it for your own WordPress blog to bring most often used items to the top, […]

Technorati Link Count Widget Add a link count or a “Blog Reaction” link to your posts from Technorati. This gives you a way to display the number of links to your posts, as tracked by Technorati in real time. I had something like this in the past in the form of a plugin but it bit me back when Technorati was either slow to respond or was down for the count. You can see it at work on this blog but I believe that this will degrades better than the plugin I had. Installation is relatively simple, though not a drag and drop and requires some addition of code. I am not sure if there is a WordPress plugin out already for this. Here is the Technorati Blog post from Tantek. Michael suggest that this might even replace trackbacks for him in spite of the issues he mentions.
