The talented team behind the WordPress for iOS app has released “the most stable release of WordPress for iOS in a long time.” This version cures numerous bugs and has been tested especially carefully in two areas: Media Uploader and Post Write/Edit. The team is already hard at work on 2.6.5, so don’t be a stranger to the support forums if you find any problems. Do you use the WordPress for iOS mobile app? Chris Boyd has announced that version 2.6.3 of the WordPress for iPhone app is now available in the App store. This version includes a bunch of bug fixes and improvements. Some of them include: Fix for multisite login issue. Fix for crash when deleting media items. Fix for occasional “Communication Error” for WordPress.org sites. Fix for crash when selecting Pages tab after deleting a draft. Fix for crash when entering settings during blog setup. If you upgrade to 2.6.3 and notice any recurring or new issues, please report them in the support forums or link to them via Twitter. I’ve been having an issue where after I successfully add a new website, it does not show up in the list. I’m hoping 2.6.3 solves this problem.

There is some good news for all of the Windows Phone 7 / WordPress users out there, Windows Phone 7 now has a WordPress application available. In the first version of the application, you can edit posts and pages, upload photos, check stats, and last but not least, moderate comments. At some point in the future, the ability to upload videos will be added to the application. The new website WindowsPhone.wordpress.org is where you’ll find all the latest news on development along with user forums for support. The front page of the website also has a slider on the right hand side that provides a visual indication of what it’s like to use the app. Based on the slider presentation, everything regarding the app appears to be about simplicity, like the phone platform itself. The application is open-source meaning you can contribute to the code to help improve the product. […]
