Show/Hide Links has been updated to support v2.1. This plugin generates a list of all links, listed by category, and outputs it as a series of unordered lists with Javascript-based Show/Hide functionality. Also adds a class of “offsite” to each link to cause them to open in a new window. WP Unformatted has been updated as well to support WordPress 2.1. It probably would be, considering the rules that he has set for himself and his limitations that he admits to on the post. Something like this has been attempted before by Phu with a lot of success. However, in looking through the existing themes that he has developed and offered for free download to WordPress users, I think he can do it with a little encouragement from all of us. Even if he is not completely successful, he will learn a lot and will provide a lot for the WordPress community (and receive a lot of attention) Thanks to Lorelle for finding the post, who is also blogging for the Blog Herald.

This version now supports WordPress 2.1. ATOM 1.0 Plugin for WordPress: For those that cannot wait for the newly added ATOM API support in WordPress 2.2 (due out April 23rd), here is a plugin to do just that. [Correction] This plugin replaces all your current WordPress feeds with an Atom 1.0 feed. Converesely, you may also use the templates from SnellSpace. Thanks to Lorelle for the suggestion. IIS ISAPI WordPress Plugin: This plugin makes WordPress permalinks work properly on IIS servers without the need for any crazy modifications or any full blown mod_rewrite software. Jon wrote it after missing proper permalink support on IIS.

DiggProof your WordPress A close look at optimizing and tweaking your MySql database for WordPress and other tips and plugins to make your WordPress blog faster than it already is. Even though WordPress is fast in its own right, this article is geared for high traffic blogs and especially those that run WordPress on smaller Virtual Private Servers. While we are on the subject of optimizations, the newly released WordPress 2.1 Ella has introduced many code and query optimizations that should make WordPress much faster than it already was. For example, one of the changes introduced to handle future posts gives the database the ability to cache more queries at the MySql level and should reduce load on the database server (however minuscule).
