There is some good news for all of the Windows Phone 7 / WordPress users out there, Windows Phone 7 now has a WordPress application available. In the first version of the application, you can edit posts and pages, upload photos, check stats, and last but not least, moderate comments. At some point in the future, the ability to upload videos will be added to the application. The new website WindowsPhone.wordpress.org is where you’ll find all the latest news on development along with user forums for support. The front page of the website also has a slider on the right hand side that provides a visual indication of what it’s like to use the app. Based on the slider presentation, everything regarding the app appears to be about simplicity, like the phone platform itself.
The application is open-source meaning you can contribute to the code to help improve the product. To find information on how to get involved, check out the Development section of the Windows Phone website to get started. You can also follow developments of the project on Twitter via the WPWindowsPhone account.
The app is not without problems though as Richard Hay of Windows Observer found out. Keep an eye on that post for further updates.
I just grabbed wp touch to take advantage of increasing iphone and android traffic. Still waiting to see the traffic come in from windows phone if any….
I’m awaiting an application for iphone/itouch users, or a similar application you can download to your computer so you don’t have to login thru your admin area of your website every single time you want to post a blog entry. I get so tired of having to ‘log in’ every time I make a point to my blog, my browser doesn’t save the info every time so every time I have to type it in all over again, its a pain
There’s been a iOS app (for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad) for quite some time, you should try it:
