Not too long ago, a new WordPress based site was launched on the web called WPRecipes.com. The site aims to cut all of the fluff and just publish the bits and pieces of code you need to know in order to accomplish a specific task. The site is maintained by the Jean-Baptiste Jung who also runs Cats Who Code. Here are a few articles worth looking into:
How to: Display a random header image
How to: Display subpages on your sidebar
How to: Change author attribution on all posts at once
Definitely worthy of being added to your feedreader.
wow, thanks for that tip, I had never heard of it before, but it sure does look like a valuable blog to add to my rss!
I love all the resources the internet has for learning. WordPress has one of the BEST communities for learning the ins and outs – and is something I’ve appreciated since starting my WP journey.
WPRecipes looks good, as does pretty much everything Jean-Baptiste does… You should give some coverage to WPVote, his social news site for WordPress. It’s yet to really get going, but if we all get behind it, it will be tremendous for all of us.
Another great resource from Jean-Baptiste. It always surprises me how versatile WordPress is and with blogs like this around it can only improve the uptake of WordPress.
First of it all, thanks a lot to weblogtoolscollection for the post, it is really appreciated!
And secondly, thanks for all theses kind comments! I’m glad you find my blogs/sites useful! π
Awesome recommendations!
tricky tips…
lets try one π
Good site.
One thing that bothered me sometime. That is when they post something which not really related to WordPress Codex, but more closer to PHP stuff.
