Wow! Thanks for featuring my plugin (again!). I hope people like the new scheme.
At first I wasn’t sure if it could be done with pure CSS because in 2.5 the main menus have been separated into 3 different <ul>’s. But, as I played with things more and more I figured out that it could be done. I just hope that 2.6 (coming out soon) won’t totally destroy it. That means more work for me.
Oh well, I hope some people find it useful. Thanks again for featuring my plugin.
Well, for some of us nostalgia kicks back to the good ol’ times.
Thanks James, for taking this effort and sharing it’s results with the community.
Congratulations.
Well, some people like the new features of 2.5 but just don’t like the new look. Plus, there have been several security fixes since 2.3.3. In fact, it is widely recommended that everyone upgrade because of some exploits that hit a lot of 2.3 blogs. The issues (as far as I’m aware) have been fixed in 2.5.
Kicking it old skool! I’ll give it a go!
if only it had the functionality of the 2.3 :/
LOve it :X
Awesome job!

If you really love 2.3 then why not just use the 2.3 version. it is still available for download honestly, i still more love 2.3.3 than 2.5.1

Maybe we’ll see a release of WordPress 2.3.4. It is on the trac, but has no date set and one outstanding ticket right now.
Ooh nice I might give it a go
Some people, backward-thinking of course, quite like the functions of 2.3 as opposed to 2.5, let alone worrying about what the admin looks like…
