Blogging News, WordPress Plugins

Since the Plugin Competition ended on the 31st of July, we needed to get all the entries in order for the judges and there were some suggestions to put them all in one place, here are the entries and the final distribution of the prizes (and not the results).

Prizes

Thanks to the following sponsors of the competition for their cash prizes, over and above the ones linked above:

Entries in the Competition

(please rate the entries, your rating goes a long way)

As usual, there were some plugin authors that ignored the rules or just plain forgot. I have not received the plugin files/final submission from these authors some of whom had announced their plugins on the competition blog. Until I receive the code, these are not being considered as entries.

  1. These are definitely some cool plugins. I feel sorry for the judges who have to wade through all the entrants to pick the best of the best. Good luck all.

  2. Eric says:

Hey everyone! Good luck on the competition. I think these are all great plugin but I have to give a shout out for WP-Backlinks!!

  3. Gangavalli says:

Thats a cool list of plugins. My choices would be oneclick, autoupgrade…

  4. Flick says:

Some great entries here! Thanks for hosting the competition!
😀 I did note that the link for WP Backlinks is actually to the zip file, rather than an information page – was this the plan?

  5. Rafik says:

Great list. I found some of this plugin on this blog but rest of them looks promising. Good luck on the competition.

  6. Ozh says:

Good luck on testing them all. I know I would have a hard time doing this, especially plugins I would think are probably well done but have absolutely no use for (like Tiny* plugins, eeek, who uses the editor?)

  7. Ozh says:

(off topic: Mark, check http://www.henkou.mykyoudo.com/ if you don’t know already)

  8. Mark Ghosh says:

Thanks for the heads up Oz, there are way too many scrapers to even try and stop them. I wait to see how long they continue and try to stop the persistent ones. Thanks again

  9. Sunira says:

The OneClick website appears to be down. :/

  10. lester says:

    Thanks~!

  11. Keith Dsouza says:

Just released the most stable version of WPAU which should work on 95% of the blogs. This release should work for almost all of you.
