I came across a couple of websites that are selling slightly modified versions of WordPress MU for as much as 99 Euro!! The kicker is that the sites were advertised on well known SEO blogs. This post is not meant to denounce the practice, but more to make people aware. Also, if you are one of those people that were/are planning to purchase a multi-blog script based on WordPress, take a look at WordPress MU first.
[Continue Reading...]Wikiwyg As seen at BarCamp wikiwyg is a dynamic, AJAX based wiki editor. Some caveats include only Mozilla support (for now). Demo looks very cool.

[Continue Reading...]If all the hype and news is true, WordPress.com is set to give Typepad a run for its money. Some of the comments are very interesting to read and gauge the wide variety of consumer/user opinions on these developments. I am hopeful that Matt et al will be able to continue the development and promotion of WordPress.com (and the software that runs WordPress.com) after keeping up with the pressures and trials of WordPress.org Since Matt has not publicly disclosed the workings or the philosophy behind WordPress.com, I will not get into discussing it at all. However, I will say that I am excited and would like to congratulate Matt on taking the first step.
[Continue Reading...]I know that there are literally thousands of themes for WordPress 1.5 and above. However, has anyone put together a set of themes for WordPress that makes clever (highly optimized, targeted) use of AdSense and/or other advertising media? I am sure there is a HUGE demand for such a product. Heck, I would be willing to wager that a “donate” button for such a theme creator would be used much more often (especially if the optimizations work well). Are there any such themes out there?
[Continue Reading...]I wanted to try and get some more people to use my Blacklist Peering Plugin for WordPress and suggest some improvements/features that they would like to see. Frankly, it is a boon for spam prevention. I peer with only two other weblogs and update every few days. I religiously add stuff to my blacklists and moderation lists but I only catch so many spam clues. The lists keep growing and I feel like they are much more powerful and comprehensive considering the fact that I am using the collective “spam experience” of three seperate blogs/bloggers. I have some very interesting suggestions from Geof and would like to add the ability to pick and choose the words that get merged into your blacklist/moderation list.
