Must-have WordPress plugins: Newsforge has put together a list of what they think are must-have wordpress plugins. I am sure a large number of these plugins are already very visible, but a list nonetheless. There is no mention of weblogtoolscollection (as a resource) anywhere in the article, but oh well.

Blogosphere contracting? Assuming that both Sifry and Umbria are accurate and that these growth rates are remaining constant – the non-spam Blogosphere has peaked in size and is now contracting. Are we really losing real bloggers to spam blogs?

WP Themes: Two Plaintext themes Very nicely done, simple, text based, newsprint-like theme for WordPress. I might actually use one of these one a personal blog. Very easy to read.

Zillow.com: Very cool tool with some obvious benefits. Zillow is a property valuation search engine with map based tracking of home and property valuations across the USA. Though I do not visualize the revenue stream yet, realtors and realty marketing folks should find this tool not only useful for research but also find a niche marketing platform for sellers and buyers. I sat there and checked out every property I have owned in the past and the present. The numbers seem to be a tad off, but that is to be expected.

Tag Cloud A reader asks: Do you get anything out of the tagcloud at the bottom Weblog Tools Collection’s navigation page? I personally like to know what gets thrown on top of which piles. However, are tag clouds useless? Are they useless in the context of blogs? What do you get out of the tag cloud from weblogtoolscollection.com? Did you know it existed? And last but not the least, have you every used a tag cloud to any level of usefulness beside just looking cool?

Most of us either have the Google Toolbar installed in IE and/or have a google search bar in Firefox/Mozilla. My question is, how many of us actually use the toolbar to search for things as opposed to visiting the Google homepage to make the queries? I personally feel that the Google Homepage helps me formulate the search query better and find myself predominately using the Google Homepage.
