RSS Advertising Options A somewhat comprehensive listing and review of advertising options on your RSS feeds. Darren posts about his experience with a few of these options. I refuse to post ads on my feeds but this might be useful to others looking to further monetize their blogs.

WP Plugin: Planet Venus Use Sam Ruby’s Planet Venus with this WordPress plugin to post to WordPress using Planet Venus. You can use the WordPress link manager to manage the links to synidcate. There are enough “planet” splogs out there to negate the value of publicizing this, but the underlying code is worth noticing.

Drunkey Love Two column, somewhat minimalist theme for WordPress with large clear sections, support for many plugins and lots of localizations. This theme has gone through some version changes and is available in three different colors. You can really tell when people care for their work. They go back and keep fixing things, documenting possible problems and solutions and keep trying to make their product better. Thanks MaxPower

WP Theme: Warped is  a 2 column theme based on black – pink color combination and supports widgets.

WP Plugin: Lazy-K Gallery Create a simple gallery within WordPress with this plugin. You upload pictures to your blog using FTP and the plugin features thumbnail caching, comments on pictures, subgalleries and optional lightbox or thickbox. Since this has been out for a while, this version should have a lot of the bugs worked out.

WP Theme: Solitude Graphics intensive, gothic, swooshy two column theme for WordPress with a very medieval feel. There is a lot of custom artwork on this theme. Demo here.

WP Theme: Tech-o-Crunch Three column, bright, glass button type theme for WordPress with clean text and large headings. Dedicated a column for Adsense Ads in the middle. Screenshot here.

Performancing has quietly released their ad network called Performancing Parters that lets bloggers to put up 125×125 graphical ads on their blogs on a revenue share basis. They give the blogger 70% of the revenue share and a very high 5% lifetime revenue share of any bloggers that you refer (which is quite nice really). Installation and setup is very simple and this can potentially create another method for bloggers to make some extra video game money. I have decided to give them a shot. They only support vertical ads for the time being but I am told that that will change in the future. I am thinking of reducing the presence of AdSense, which does not do very well.
