Due to the overwhelming interest, but the disconcerting lack of entries, I have decided to extend the Weblogtoolscollection.com Graphics Competition for another week. I have received one entry so far from OF Jay. A lot of people have expressed their desires and have wanted to enter something, but I have nothing to judge! So if you were planning to work on something or were halfway through, fear no more because now you have lots of time. Thanks to everyone.

I stumbled upon something really cool yesterday that I wanted to test out. So, without much further ado, go here and use username ‘dhtml’ password ‘password’ to try out this cool new thing. If you have seen or used it already, it will be a let down, but if you have not, it might get your attention. Once you are there, use it for everything it is worth. 😛 PS: proper attribution and further discussion on this will be forthcoming as and when I finish integerating/developing some of the newer peices I have in mind. Does anyone have the original install anymore? I have searched the web for a while without any luck. It looks like it comes with certain development packages and service packs, but I have yet to get my hands on one which has it. If you know of a place that I can download this from (or pay to buy it) I would appreciate a link or a comment.

At the University of Toledo, we used to have a system that was used to control and distribute information for each of the classes I was enrolled in. It was used to post messages, post homework and other documentation, list enrollment and finally, list the grades for each of the assignments in the class. Does any of that ring a bell in the context of this blog? I believe that educational blogging is a very powerful vehicle to collect and aggregate research and assignment information as well as a powerful means to assimilate and search the stored information by a worldwide audience. As a follow up for the recent restructuring and redesigning of the blog and my inability to recognize and assign colors aesthetically, I am announcing a competition to create a couple of graphic items for this blog. The graphics have to work with the present color schema and the size limitations mentioned below. No moving graphics please (no flash either). I added a modified version of Feed on Feeds which, for now, just tracks a few of my favourites. This section will need some more work, just a plug for now. PS: the news section can be accessed through the tab on top, right below the blog name header.
