[Continue Reading...]I noticed this at CustomBlog.com and figured someone could use it. If you do end up using it, a link to your blog would be nice. Click here to make your own 3D graphics header. The styles are extremely limited, but it is fun! 🙂
[Continue Reading...]Due to the overwhelming interest, but the disconcerting lack of entries, I have decided to extend the Weblogtoolscollection.com Graphics Competition for another week. I have received one entry so far from OF Jay. A lot of people have expressed their desires and have wanted to enter something, but I have nothing to judge! So if you were planning to work on something or were halfway through, fear no more because now you have lots of time. Thanks to everyone.
[Continue Reading...]When does a blog start getting annoying to read? How many posts can be too many posts? I know of at least a few bloggers (including myself) that post regularly throughout the day. Some of these posts are lengthy and more involved, while others are small links with a little explanation of the link. Some of the very prolific posters (that come to mind right away) include: Photomatt Dave Scoble Om Some of the people that post infrequently include: Pilgrim Dunstan Zeller Shea And yet, there are some others that make it a point (or so it seems) to post once a day, everyday Alex Anne Jeremy Now, it is very difficult to draw any strong conclusion from this information because almost every one of the blogs listed above are top notch and have their own place in the blogosphere. Dave blogs a lot. Period. He blogs a lot, provides […]
[Continue Reading...]I stumbled upon something really cool yesterday that I wanted to test out. So, without much further ado, go here and use username ‘dhtml’ password ‘password’ to try out this cool new thing. If you have seen or used it already, it will be a let down, but if you have not, it might get your attention. Once you are there, use it for everything it is worth. 😛 PS: proper attribution and further discussion on this will be forthcoming as and when I finish integerating/developing some of the newer peices I have in mind. If there is enough interest, I might put together some kind of install for it. Also, click on the little ‘?’ to get more info once you are there! Also, quit being a stranger and leave some comments!
[Continue Reading...]Does anyone have the original install anymore? I have searched the web for a while without any luck. It looks like it comes with certain development packages and service packs, but I have yet to get my hands on one which has it. If you know of a place that I can download this from (or pay to buy it) I would appreciate a link or a comment.
[Continue Reading...]At the University of Toledo, we used to have a system that was used to control and distribute information for each of the classes I was enrolled in. It was used to post messages, post homework and other documentation, list enrollment and finally, list the grades for each of the assignments in the class. Does any of that ring a bell in the context of this blog? I believe that educational blogging is a very powerful vehicle to collect and aggregate research and assignment information as well as a powerful means to assimilate and search the stored information by a worldwide audience. I am sure this is already being done on some scale at the more famous (and thus more financially secure) institutions, but the concept has yet to reach the thousands of less fortunate (for the lack of a better term) Colleges and educational institutions. Let me elaborate. I […]
[Continue Reading...]As a follow up for the recent restructuring and redesigning of the blog and my inability to recognize and assign colors aesthetically, I am announcing a competition to create a couple of graphic items for this blog. The graphics have to work with the present color schema and the size limitations mentioned below. No moving graphics please (no flash either). Here is what is expected (all three are required to win, they could be resized items of just one graphic): A favicon.ico A (800-1000) x (50-100) header image (width x height) with the name of the blog A 140 x 50 (width x height) small icon for distribution Here are the rules and prizes: All submissions are done through this blog and as comments on this post, if you cannot host the images, send me an email with your graphics and I will add the links and the file I […]
[Continue Reading...]I added a modified version of Feed on Feeds which, for now, just tracks a few of my favourites. This section will need some more work, just a plug for now. PS: the news section can be accessed through the tab on top, right below the blog name header.
