Cool Scripts, WordPress Hack

Kitten’s Project Blog >> Comment Pay 1.0: Brainstorming can be really useful. I had come up with this idea a couple of weeks ago and had discussed it with Kitten at length. She has put together a preliminary plugin for WordPress which enables you to ask for payment for comments which are deemed as spam. In case the spammers decide to pay, the comments are posted. I have not looked at the details yet, but any method of accepting payments can be used and this will be an interesting experiment. We also have other plans to further this service, but more about that later. Good and fast job Kitten!

Cool Scripts, General

I now have a method for everyone to quickly share files on the internet without having to use any tools and/or accounts beside your browser. If you need to quickly share a file with a friend or a coworker or need to send a file home and do not have the capability to send it through email or otherwise, you can use this tool. Some of the features of this tool includes: Password protected, random filename generation Simple upload and download Files get purged in seven days, no stagnation Simple to remember and simple to pass along Complete anonymity In order to protect myself from abusers, I do record information about each user (which will never be used for any purpose besides accountability for your uploads). Put it through its paces and see what you think. UploadBin can be found at http://weblogtoolscollection.com/uploadbin/ Please post bugs and/or comments, this will be […]

Sprint PCS moblog to WordPress 1.2 Mingus

I have half-finished the Sprint PCS script to create a moblog with WordPress 1.2 Mingus and it is ready for download. Just a couple of caveats I should mention and then some features. For all of you that have been having problems with IMAP, the problem might have been a version conflict and not the lack of IMAP support. I very strongly suggest that you try this script and if you still have problems, wait for the version with POP3 support. This script will let you post to a WordPress 1.2 Mingus blog from a Sprint PCS Vision enabled phone. It is designed to pick up the pictures from the jumble of markup that Sprint puts out on their webpage. The script visits the Sprint Vision website, downloads the picture from that site and saves it on your blog as a post. The install is really simple and once it […]
