Tech Nine and Universe are both promising starter themes. A little customization, and these could both look fresh.
I’m gonna vote Universe as my fave of this batch. Simple, yet fetching. Yes, I used the word “fetching”.

I like the look of Shades. Very basic framework, room for lots of customization.
Ooohh I love that Tech9 theme! Are the title sliders really included in the theme or not? The demo at their site has it. Would be excellent if that’s really in the theme. I got to try this one out! đ
