Favoloso is a 3-column fluid theme, which is very light and features soft colors. Vertical is a simple three column fixed width theme. RockinBlue 2.0 is a Web 2.0-style, widget-ready, two-column, clean and sleek theme with BIG FONTS and easily changed graphical header, with Photoshop file included. JD Sky 3C is a three column widget ready theme with the sky as the background. Straightlaced is a two-column, clean, efficient looking theme that is ideal for the no-nonsense blogger. WPTP2 is a 2 column theme with light colours and a striped black background.

WP Plugin: Notify Author on Comment Moderation

WordPress notifies the admin of a blog when a comment requires moderation. This is done regardless of the author of the post who does not get a notification at all (of moderated comments). I wrote a very simple plugin for WordPress that notifies the author of the post as well as the admin of the blog when a comment requires moderation. The plugin also assumes that you have moderation notify turned on in options. If the admin is the author of the post, he/she receives only one email. Installation is as simple as download, unzip, copy to wp-content/plugins and activate. This plugin is running on this blog and has been tested on all 2.x versions of WordPress. What’s in My Blogging Toolkit? I read this post from Ian via Problogger and since I am always interested in finding new tools and applications, I wanted to ask my readers on what they use to make their lives easier. Of course, a post such as this is incomplete without my own input. Here is a small subset of what is on my computer and my primary tools for blogging. WordPress, of course: Quintissential, versatile blogging and CMS platform. Firefox, latest: ALL of my browsing is done via this browser. Adsense Manager allows you to create, modify and position Adsense Ads from within the WordPress admin panel. Inline Ajax Page displays an excerpt of your post (the same way WordPress does when you use the_excerpt or a <!–more–> tag), but rather than making the user go to another page to read the remainder of the post, this plugin uses Ajax to download and display the rest of it when the user clicks a link to read more. Ask the Oracle displays the random answer to a question in Magic 8-ball fashion.

Orange Sunrise is a widget ready, 2 columns WordPress template with a professional look by Headsetoptions.org and MandarinMusing based on design by dcarter. This theme has a orange sunrise header, fixed width and a right sidebar. Furry Palms is a simple greenish theme with 2-columns, Georgia base font, elegant almost old looking background. Cliff is a bright and fresh widget ready theme with an outdoors feel. Milo has released New Yorker and Sushi.

Noembedder inserts a noembed section into any embedded content (videos, etc.) in your posts. It inserts a customisable message, and for Youtube videos, a thumbnail too. Dahnielson’s Footnotes adds footnotes to your posts. Language Plugin allows you to create a bilingual or multi-lingual blog, using WordPress. The way it works is that you will write the content for your blog in multiple languages, using special HTML tags. ScoreRender renders inline sheet music fragments inside posts and comments into images. It supports ABC, GUIDO, Lilypond and Mup music notations. bib2html enables to add bibtex entries formatted as HTML in wordpress pages and posts. Skinner adds skin selection and editing to WordPress for Skinner compatible themes.

RockinSuckerfish is a modern web 2.0 looking theme with suckerfish dropdowns instead of sidebars. Straightlaced is a 2 column theme for WordPress 2.1. Straightlaced uses no-nonsense, simplistic lines to produce a theme that is suitable for the businessperson, student, or anyone else who wants a masculine, businesslike blog. iFoney is a 2 column theme for WordPress 2.1. Based on the new iPhone by Apple, iFoney uses dark colours and rounded portions to make it look like an iPhone. Pseudo Shui is a two column, pixelated, minimalist looking theme using the colours red, black and white to give a high contrast. Rounded is a simple 2 column widget ready WordPress template by Headsetoptions and MandarinMusing based on a design by Mitchinson.net. Unlimited is a 2-column fixed with wordpress theme, with Custom Header Image.
