As you must have noticed, Weblog Tools Collection now has a new theme. It was custom designed by João Craveiro. We have tried to retain some of the familiar look and feel but also increase usability and visibility of the most commonly used features of the blog. The redesign is still a work in progress and if a much used/loved feature is missed, please let us know. Related posts have been moved around to a more accessible spot, fonts are bigger and bolder, ads are tucked away as neatly as possible, archives are redone and further polish will be applied soon, the menu page has shed its excess junk, the search form has moved to the top right hand corner, there is a new AboutMe page, number of comments on posts are more visible and the comment form is modern and displays moderated comments. According to the author it is fairly inclusive and has everything from basic structural snippets to menu based database references. By xxxxxxx is a daily changed hash of several “server-unique” data. Now with an options page in your admin area and a binding to the SK2.

Let me take this opportunity to wish all the readers of WLTC a Happy and Prosperous New Year! Have you made any New Year resolutions? If so add one to the list. If not, make a resolution to give the plugins that power our blogs a little attention. WordPress and Plugins WordPress is a very popular and excellent blogging system. While WordPress is self sufficient to run as a system for a novice blogger, the more advanced bloggers like to enhance its functionality using Plugins.
