As you must have noticed, Weblog Tools Collection now has a new theme. It was custom designed by João Craveiro. We have tried to retain some of the familiar look and feel but also increase usability and visibility of the most commonly used features of the blog. The redesign is still a work in progress and if a much used/loved feature is missed, please let us know.
Related posts have been moved around to a more accessible spot, fonts are bigger and bolder, ads are tucked away as neatly as possible, archives are redone and further polish will be applied soon, the menu page has shed its excess junk, the search form has moved to the top right hand corner, there is a new AboutMe page, number of comments on posts are more visible and the comment form is modern and displays moderated comments.
The original design for this blog dated back to the good old days and most of the code was either too old or too buggy. We hope this update freshens up the blog and makes it easier for you to read and participate in.
It looks great, very nice job.
I love it. I can read it better at 1280×1024. Looks fanny-tastic!
Glad to see you’re using MyAvatars!!!
I love the layout and the way blue and orange were integrated. It’s beautiful. Can we expect a release of this as a freely available theme?
Thanks. I read this semi-religiously from my dashboard, btw.
Congrats on the new theme, looks good.
Looks nice, but no offense it feels like it’s bloated. The text seems too big, the main header image is big.
Maybe if we got an option to change the text size it would be just fine.
Great work – a much cleaner layout.
It is indeed better than before, looking good.
cool ! i like it!
Love the new design. It’s much easier to read and looks much better. I’ll be more inclined to read.
Much much better sir!
Much better than the old one
Goooood stuff bro.
Yours just became the easiest-to-read blog I visit regularly. Thanks for that. In the (entirely justified) hullabaloo about how captchas exclude the visually-impaired, a lot of people forget impairment doesn’t always mean full blindness or use of a reader. Some of us just can’t read trendy microscopic type.
I totally love the new design. So very easy to read and navigate. Thanks
Fresh and easy to use, congrats.
I also read this blog every now and then (mostly when I get around to looking at my feeds in Opera). Some elements don’t render proely under Opera, like towards the bottom of the Menu (strange name BTW) page.
I usually read WLTC in Bloglines, but I really like the font you chose! Nice and big and clear.
