I don’t know if it’s specific to my blog and the tweaks I made to some of the files; but after upgrading to 2.1 I was getting a MySQL error using the Tiga theme. I was using Tiga version 1.0.1. I’ve had to change to a different theme for my blog as a result.

    Be well,
    Bob

    Hi Bob,

I’ve not use Tiga personally, but it is possible that several themes may break in WP 2.1. Try contacting the developer and tell him about it. If it is universal, he will be able to fix it.

Also, did you run /wp-admin/upgrade.php ??

hi there? Im newbie on all this PHP or wordpress blogging. I just upgraded using the fantatisco upgrade. what i found out, the blog can sometimes hang the computer. have to make ctrl-alt-del to stop the browsers. im using firefox 2.01. i upgraded from 2.05 to 2.1. Pls advice me. thanks. now my visitors complain they could not read my articles. any help, comment appreciated in advance. 🙁

    Ajay,

Thanks. Yes, I did run upgrade.php, it was only after running it that I noticed the problem. It appears that Tiga uses some deprecated calls to the blogroll, because that’s where the problem is. Everything else displays with no problem. Just not my links.

And I’ve noticed that a number of other Tiga users are experiencing the same issue; but the developer hasn’t posted anything since last fall so I’m not sure how quick anything will get fixed.

Meanwhile, I’ve found a theme that works pretty well.

    Be well,
    Bob

Bob, I guess the only thing to do if you really want Tiga is to ask the developer to update. I’m sure if many keep asking him, he will make that update 🙂

  6. Bob Souer says:

    Ajay,

I’ve reached that same conclusion. We’ll see if/when he responds. Thanks again.

    Be well,
    Bob
