There were a few new faces, but the big categories were all the same as before. Blogger, which won for best web application for weblogs, won the same title in 2001 and was nominated in that category for every contest except 2005. (Movable Type won the category for four years running, by the way.) 2006 was the first year PlasticBag.org didn’t appear anywhere, but Loobylu has been in every annual contest (sometimes in more than one category) and has won several times. I’m not saying these blogs and services aren’t great, but they get nominated/win every single time. It gets old.
An avid fan of business, education, technology and finance. I lead a lean, highly focussed and capable team of Java Back End developers and Front End developers through a maze of complex software wizardry to fulfill the web maintenance needs of a large chemical manufacturer. As per Myers-Briggs Personality Types, I am an ESTJ. I pride in a project completed on time and according to plan. My hobbies include all kinds of technology, anything that I can taste and anything that goes fast or flies in the air. I like to read business books and comics in my spare time.

I thought it was a good year, Joshuaink had a well deserved win with best tagline.
Maybe there should be a limit to the number of times you can win and whether you’re “corporate” or not.
It’s a corporate contest. Don’t really care about them.
