Redirect Old Slugs is a WordPress plugin that allows you to change the post slug on published entries without breaking the old permalinks. So if you published a post with the slug this-is-my-post-slug
and decided to change it to post-slug
all links pointing to the old one would magically be forwarded to the new location. Anyone who has ever made a spelling error in a post title knows how useful this will be!
Holy crap, I was just wishing for this, like yesterday. š
Thanks a lot! I’m tempted to make some mistakes here to chech this out!
My web host changed hands and I lost my blog when moving to another host. I lost a year’s worth of posts. š But, I can recreate some posts but the date, which is part of the address, will be different. Could I use this plugin to direct old address to the newly created post?
