I don’t understand why podcasters need to publish lo-fi spoken audio in high bitrates anyway. It seems like they’re shunning any potential live-streaming 56k audience just to, what, reveal the nuances of their non-pro radio voices? Silly stuff. Use VBR WMA instead of CBR MP3 at 128kbps, it’s pretty clear for voice and much smaller.
I don’t understand why they don’t just, y’know, type out their posts instead of mumbling into a mic. Talk about being bandwith-friendly…
I don’t know if Mark’s opinion has changed from this; mine certainly hasn’t: Waste of time.
