Today’s WordPress Plugin video review is of Comment Remix.
Video Summary: Comment Remix adds numerous admin panel options, as well as reply, quote, and tag capabilities on a post. The star feature for admins (in my opinion) is the “In Need of Reply” option, as well as the various actions added to comments.
Pros: Reply/Quote options are useful for admin and end-users. “In Need of Reply” is great for blog admins and unreplied comments. A lot of admin panel options make this plugin highly configurable.
Cons: Pop-up boxes could use the built-in WP 2.5 thickbox.js script. The “In Need of Reply” badly needs an “ignore all” option. Not sure of the usefulness of tags for comments unless there are global options. Styling could also be better for the comment actions.
The Comment Remix plugin is entered in the WLTC Plugin Competition. Please head over and give your say to the Comment Remix plugin.

I don´t know either about “usefulness” being part of the “cons”.
I think is a great plugin, and what I´m pretty sure the plugins can´t be made for the linkeness of everybody, I think we can decide how much it will help us and those things that don´t have maybe for me are OK.
In resume is a great tool for us as admins.
Cheers!
kudos, thats a neat plugins and good review from ronald.
I think the comment tags is useful for hreview (microformats) & others type of raw feed
I had this plugin installed and really liked it… BUT…
I had to uninstall it because it invalidated my xhtml!?
Also, the article mentions using the WP2.5 built-in Thickbox. I recommend NOT using it, as the CSS is invalid.
I think that a plugin should produce well-formatted, standards-compliant code to highlighted here on Weblog Tools Collection. Just MHO.
The title confused me. I thought you guys were reviewing a video plugin. How about ‘Plugin Video Review’ next time?
It is a great plugin however I had to uninstall it as somehow it managed to break the image uploader – racked my brains to try and work out why it was not working and when I disabled comments remix it worked like a charm.
Looks like a good plugin. Thanks.
