WP Plugin: deUncategorize Remove the “uncategorized” category automatically when you select a different category for a new post on your Wordpress blog.

    1. You will be happy to know that this effect (done much more simply) will be included in WordPress 2.0.5 . Ticket 2938 Don’t have a category selected by default.

    2. Lloyd, that’s great to hear. I’ve searched a while but didn’t find this ticket. And now there’s already another plugin… Seems like I should’ve looked a bit longer :-)

    3. The fix (not having a category selected by default) will be included in WordPress 2.1. Until then deUncategorize is still very useful!
      (The fix was postponed from its original target version 2.0.5.)
