bbPress: Photomatt has written (the day after Christmas, nonetheless) and released a small footprint Bulletting board software called bbPress and judging from the response times on the forums, it is quite zippy. The goal of bbPress is to bring some weblog and WordPress sensibilities to forum software.. Check ‘er out!
