WP Theme: Rain in my World Christian is releasing the theme that ran on his site for some time. Rain in my world is a two column, light on dark, funky and very clean theme for WordPress. This theme has some Nintendo undertones and since Christian is a daily read for me, it is quite familiar. Demo here.

WP Theme: 281(3col) Three column version of Paul’s theme 281 with a bunch of modifications to the visualization of blog content. As in Paul’s original theme, Eli’s 281(3col) is very clean, crisp, clear, almost devoid of unnecessary styling and very, very attractive.

WP plugin: Event Calendar Dynamic Ajax calendar that shows both events and normal blog posts. This plugin promises to be simple to install and use, is widgets friendly, allows users to subscribe to events from various calendar programs, is timezone aware and has a bunch of language translations.

WP Theme: Green Lantern Three column, gree and dark theme for WordPress with a comic book theme and a gradient background. Flickr and Asides built in.

I (somewhat shamefully) agree that I am not an ad clicker. On the average, I will click on somewhere between 0 to 1 ad a day, tops. I also do not fall too often for clever advertising on blogs and websites. I have learned to navigate around them. Some would say I have developed ad blindness. More often than not, I tend to look for clever placement methods, interesting ad services and such without actually clicking on anything or navigating away from the original page. If something interests me tremendously, I might distract myself for a few minutes but rarely have I actually purchased or signed on to a product or service that I was referred to by an ad. WP Theme: I feel dirty Very graphical, two column, dark and light theme for WordPress with tattered paper as the background for boxes. Quite an interesting look. Notice the license. (I keep thinking I have seen this before but a search turns up nothing)

WP Theme: 281 Very fast, minimalist, search engine friendly, two column theme for WordPress with no images or Javascript. Paul is concentrating on the speed, minimalism and SEO and he has reduced the number of queries and compressed some files to reduce load times. WP Theme: Corporate Slave Three column, minimalist, chock full of functions (if there is such a thing) theme for WordPress with a very interesting twist. The two columns at the center can be modified to display articles from seperate categories. In addition, a few plugins have to be installed with the theme for added functionality. I could not find a demo beside the original dreamlogic template. This theme is interesting enough that I want to install it just to see what it really looks like and how I can use it for something I already have. Sam does a great job of making his themes stand out from the croud. Also check out Misunderstood which has been linked previously.
