First Ever WP on Tour a Success

After being in the planning stage for a few months, the first ever WP on Tour was a huge success. The goal of WP on Tour was to bring WordPress fans from around the world for a solid week of fun and co-working, and this first WP on Tour brought ten WordPress fans and developers to Sitges, Spain. The crew worked together on a few client and personal projects, and some of the biggest releases of the week were major updates to WP Stripe and YouTube DJ. As for the fun aspect, they were kind enough to snap several photos throughout the week. Does this look like fun to you? If so, you might want to host a WP on Tour event in your home town.

WP On Tour: International WordPress Coworking

WP On Tour is an in-planning international coworking trip geared towards anyone with an interest in WordPress. The idea is to step out of your daily (office) environment and work at a challenging location somewhere in the world. Like a holiday, but then with WordPress geeks Everybody is welcome: bloggers, designers, programmers, entrepreneurs, etc. Simply 1 week of fun, working, sightseeing, brainstorming, relaxing and inspiring each other. The trip is being planned by Automattic Happiness Engineer, Karim Osman, and expected to last anywhere from five to seven days. At this time, there are no details on a location, but wherever it is, there will definitely be plenty of WordPress enthusiasts working and socializing. If you can’t wait to get involved, Karim is looking for a killer logo for the event. What do you think of the event?
