WP Theme: Regulus Nice looking, two column WordPress theme with some added plugins. Looks like a mashup between K2 and Rin with a splash of yellow if you know you WordPress plugins.

HOW-TO, LinkyLoo

HOW-TO: Using SVN to keep your WordPress Blog up-to-date Use statically linked binaries for SVN and cron jobs to install and update your blog to the most up-to-date release of WordPress. Thanks to Robert Deaton for helping me with the same. [EDIT] While you are reading this article, please, please keep in mind that Forum support does not cover SVN. In other words, if you decide to use the bleeding edge code on your blog and have problems with the code, you probably will not receive help from the forums.

Cool Scripts, LinkyLoo

Some awesome code from “cake” of brothercake. Not sure of their real name but in looking through their AJAX “Docking Boxes” (which is being used in WordPress development) I found a bunch of other scripts and helpers that are quite cool. I just wish I could find an implementation of docking boxes using AJAX that would allow movement in both axes, much like Google. [EDIT] Found one from Tim Taylor

10 Most Powerful Women in Blogging : Joi Ito of Technorati (http://joi.ito.com ) has her hands in a lot of Web 2.0 companies, some you might not even know about yet. This makes her damn powerful. Often times the one you don’t know that well is the most powerful. My personal favorite because she seems to help people get shit done. I am still not sure whether this was meant as a joke, to look like an ass, just pure oversight or it was simple lack of research.

Get Ready For Newsvine… Newsvine is a large-scale news media site which gives you almost all the same stories you read on sites like MSNBC and CNN but presents them in a much more attractive package. Attractive not just in looks but in function as well. They are employing five people to develop something like Memeorandom but on a larger (?) scale. How do these sites make any money to sustain themselves? Looks like Memeorandum does not have ads, just a donate to the Salvation Army logo. I wonder if newsvine would be different.

Feedburner Launches Ad Network Following the likes of the highly successful Google AdSense networks and the recent small fish Chitika, Feedburner has Launched their own sd network for Feedburner feeds. If you look through their Publisher Services page and into their “Monetize” section, they tout both Google Adsense and their own network (Which does not have a catchy name, I think it should. A catchy brand name would make it more pallatable and easier to assimilate. Adz-n-Such just does not cut it) Some big names such as Gawker networks, CIO, BuzzMachine etc have signed on. Thanks BlogHerald
