Theme-Check allows you to run checks on the current theme before uploading to WordPress. This plugin uses the same API and is kept more or less in sync with the WordPress.org uploader tool.
I’m using Jetpack currently on a number of my sites, it’s one of those plugins that you keep finding new features for. I’d really recommend its’ use to others, and I’m sure I’ll recommend it more as I learn more and more of its’ features!
