Just a few days ago, Matt Mullenweg had a fascinating fireside chat with Sarah Lacy of PandoDaily. The chat covered such interesting things as the state of the WordPress community, the future of WordPress, working with distributed workforces, and Facebook and Tumblr. At almost two hours in length, it’s certainly a long watch, but well worth it, especially with a nice cold drink this weekend.

Listened to the first half hour… Matt is always an entertaining speaker and a great guy. In this one he says: “I think going to the office is a productivity loss”… lol. He’s right. (I work from home). Regards – Mal

Matt Mullenweg comes across as a genuinely unaffected, likable guy. He is the same age as Mark Zuckerburg and he’s responsible for 50 million WordPress websites yet he rarely gets a mention. Its a funny old world.

Yes, it’s a shame. A big chunk of the web runs on WordPress and he’s rarely mentioned. Zuckerberg runs one website (albeit a hugely popular one) and everyone knows his name!
