pixer.us: online photo editor Upload your photo online and use this AJAX control panel to fix and modify your photos to your hearts’ content. The response is fast (for now). I modified one of our Jamaica pictures to test. I had some problem with the original (it looks like there are some logistic issues with the software not storing different pictures for different sessions). This might be really useful for bloggers that are editing their blogs or adding pictures where they do not have access to a good photo editor. The following picture was cropped, saturation tweaked, sharpened and randomly modified. 🙂

WP Theme: OXY Three column, light on very black theme for WordPress with a stress on simplicity and minimalism. Basically, it is a simple text theme with yellow text on black background with three columns and I like it (beside the yellow maybe). Straight and to the point.

Open Picture Window Plugin v1.1

I have just updated my Open Picture Window Plugin for WordPress. The only update is the much requested Quick Tags button. The plugin still doesn’t have a button for the WYSIWYG editor. I’m still working on that. Turns out to be a bit more complex that I was expected. Anyway, if you are not using the WYSIWYG then you’re in luck. The quicktags button with the name OPW should now be visible in your editor. This works similar to the link button, but it requests you for the window dimensions and title in addition to the URL. Blogger Interviews from Bloggertalks.com Thord Daniel Hedengren recently started BloggerTalks.com where he interviews bloggers and blogging personalities. He has started off with John Evans and Liz Strauss. Since many of the blog network type news sites are doing interviews already, Thord might have to carve out his own niche with some twist on the simple typed out interview, but time will tell.

Gallery 2 Theme Contest There is a theme contest going on for Gallery 2 with lots of money and prizes to be won. I personally use Gallery quite a bit and in spite of its problems, it is still the best online photo gallery I have come across. Submission deadline is January 14th.
