Does anyone have the original install anymore? I have searched the web for a while without any luck. It looks like it comes with certain development packages and service packs, but I have yet to get my hands on one which has it. If you know of a place that I can download this from (or pay to buy it) I would appreciate a link or a comment.

So, if you are one of those (smile), go and grab your RSS templates from inluminent. A variety of templates are available with various options. Mozilla Control: The Mozilla ActiveX project. Definitely one to watch! Though I am not a big fan of ActiveX’s vulnerabilities, I have been authoring a bunch of controls recently (OLE, C#) to automate secure file transfers and addition of dynamic content via drag and drop, which could come in real handy if I could get them to work in Mozilla!

Educational blogging as a research tool

At the University of Toledo, we used to have a system that was used to control and distribute information for each of the classes I was enrolled in. It was used to post messages, post homework and other documentation, list enrollment and finally, list the grades for each of the assignments in the class. Does any of that ring a bell in the context of this blog? I believe that educational blogging is a very powerful vehicle to collect and aggregate research and assignment information as well as a powerful means to assimilate and search the stored information by a worldwide audience. I am sure this is already being done on some scale at the more famous (and thus more financially secure) institutions, but the concept has yet to reach the thousands of less fortunate (for the lack of a better term) Colleges and educational institutions.
