WordPress Hack

Codeman38 has come up with a few updates and fixes for my comment preview hack for WordPress 1.2 Mingus.
Download the php file from here:
http://www.zone38.net/blog/wp-comment-review.phps

I’ve made some of the changes that mikelu suggests above, fixed the problems where slashes weren’t stripped from usernames/URLs, made it so that the comment is ‘texturized’ (smart quotes, etc.) during preview, and fixed a couple of the layout issues. My hack of the source code is available through my name link on this post.

    Thanks !
I’n not got round to working out the slashes thing – not that I *know* anything, I’d have just played til I broke something 🙂

Majorly broken. I pasted into the myhacks.php (which had nothing else in it) and activated it via control panel, then I couldn’t get back into my site because I kept getting a page that said “please do not access this page directly!”

I panicked until I managed to fix it… somehow.

There should have been better instructions and that is my fault. The instructions on how to install this can be found at http://weblogtoolscollection.c.....dpress-12/

Aha! Thank you. I’ll go check it out and give it another try. On the bright side, this has taught me to back up everything before trying something new. 😉
