Good shout out Mark, thanks for the info. I would have purchased them, but I’m not a Dotster fan and I wouldn’t want to keep half the domains anyway probably, so I said screw it — it would have been an impulse buy.
I missed a similar special offer at another registrar and thought it would be OK to register through them anyway. Eeek. Crappy services. Support tickets go for a week unanswered. If a small company is providing such a low-cost solution, you can bet they won’t be at loss but still won’t give you the best services for your buck either. Low cost comes with huge quantities and long term services, like Yahoo Domains gives ya excellent domain management services for $15/5 years ($3/year if you pay in advance for 5 years). Now that’s a company I trust to provide better services for a low price, thanks to economy of scale.
I tried to take advantage of this “happy hour” sale… but their server was so bogged down, I didn’t get a chance! I tried for most of the hour, doing other things while waiting for the page to finish loading. I never made it through step 2 of what looked like a 5-step process. Blech.

Thanks for the great info! Here comes my 20 domains.
teehee, glad I saw this in time – I’m addicted to domains LOL
