I tested the MapQuest plugin on our blog and found that it was easy to use, my biggest concern is that the MapQuest API is not as robust as Google Maps and found that entering an address not in the normal format will cause this plug-in to choke .. Anyone else have issues with that plug-in?

It isn’t just the API, MapQuest is known for not giving reliable route directions. I’ve always preferred Google Maps for that very reason. I use google.com/transit 2-3 times a day for my city bus transportation directions needs. MapQuest doesn’t do it justice

I second that. Whilst MapQuest has certain benefits, it simply cannot compete with Google Maps as a complete package.

That said, future releases that address some of the underlying problems may make the Get Directions plugin more competitive.
