WordPress 3.4.2 Released

WordPress 3.4.2 has been released. Along with the security fixes, this release addresses almost 20 bugs, including better support for older browsers in the administration area and improved plugin compatibility with the visual editor. This is a security release, so it is recommended for all users. If you run into trouble with WordPress 3.4.2, stop by the master list of known issues and post to the support forums if your problem isn’t covered there.

Autumn Leaf is a rich, textured theme with a leaf background. Commodore is an HTML5 and CSS3 theme in the style of the good old Commodore 64. Priimo is a lightweight, clean, and elegant theme. WordPress 3.5 has entered early development and will be featuring the new Twenty Twelve default theme. If you’re curious about what went into the new default theme, designer Drew Strojny took a reverse approach to this in his talk at WordCamp San Francisco 2012, How not to Design a Default Theme. Currently, Twenty Twelve is available to WordPress.com bloggers if you want to play around with it. It will also be available via the official Theme Directory for WordPress.org bloggers shortly, and included with the release of WordPress 3.5.
