I used the Chess theme for a site I recently built. I was about to purchase a 3 column theme from template monster until I came across it. I also found it quite easy to customize.

I don’t think that the “Chess” theme hits that big of a mraket. I don’t know I may be wrong, but I would be more apt to use the “Silver Orchid” theme than “Sunspot”. I read somewhere that darker themes tend to drive away your visitors. People want a light, bright background. Even though I’m not too fond of Chess theme, this is still a WordPress theme, and I love WordPress!

I agree, ‘Chess’ does not hit that big a market, but I pride myself on creating themes that have personality and cater to bloggers. I took this on because of my own frustrations trying to find a theme for my blog at the time.

Most bloggers are looking for something with personality that suits their site – not generic corporate sites.

Thank you to James Boylan for your nice comment.

I live in Finland and most of my blog visitors are local and I all I can say is that the Chess theme looks like great and I might just switch to it soon..

Nice templates. I like the silverorchid. The chess one go good if I was making a chess site.
