WordPress 2.8 Beta 1 has been released. For all those of you that are adventurous, this is your cue. Codex lists all the changes in 2.8 that have been implemented before the feature freeze.

A “Get ready for WordCamp San Francisco 2009” post from Lloyd. I almost completely forgot about the WordPress’ Sixth Anniversary celebrations. 572 attendees as of this post!

WordCamp Columbus was great with some spirited feedback! Looking forward to WordCamp Chicago.

That’s great news! Based on history, when — approximately — do you expect WordPress 2.8 to be baselined?

Looks like some handy features have been added. Great, now I can get rid of some of my installed plugins. I’m wondering though: Whatever happened to WP 2.7.2? The roadmap says it’s been completed, but was there ever any announcement?

Concerning liquid soaps: I bought the liquid soap book and found it wonderful. I made my liquid soap with the recommended alcohol so I could continue to stir the soap as it cooked. I did not dilute the soap while it was hot because I have overdiluted before. I jarred the soap in 4 different containers and waited for the soap to cool. After cooling, I warmed slightly and only found it needed a small amount of additional water. It was at this point I realized there must have been more stirring required in the beginning because I didn’t get a complete use of the KOH. So when it says stir, stir, stir, they mean it. I would like to see a picture of what the soap looks like at trace before cooking.
