AIM Pages: AJAXier, cleaner and nicer than Myspace but will AIM really be any competition? Would the allure or pre-population of your AIM buddies make you switch from Myspace? Heck, do you have a Myspace page?

  3. Bah! I checked out a few of the profiles, and it reminds me a LOT of msn spaces. And I do NOT like msn spaces. As for competition to myspace; nope. I have a myspace page, hate it, but still use it because so many of my friends use it. I just do not see this (or any other social networking site) beating myspace. The only chance it (AIM) has is if myspace pulls a Friendster and gives its users incentive to leave.

  5. No MySpace. No MSN Spaces. No Yahoo! 360. And no AIM Page. It’s enough that using their messengers gives a profile page to fill out, which I then feel obligated to keep up-to-date.

And I’ve added Frappr to that list of profiles as well. So no, AIM Pages doesn’t sound too appealing to me.
