Designer AdSense Ads

Designer AdSense Ads Darren has noticed adsense ads with some unique styling. I am not convinced that this would increase revenue but it sure makes the ads look a lot nicer on the page. I REALLY like the way Plan59 did their ads at the bottom of the page.

  1. What I’m interested in is how Digg manage to change the font sizes of its Google ads.

  2. If you check out some of the really big sites, like Digg and About.com, you’ll definitely see custom-tailored Adsense ads - from font-size changes to different placements for “Ads by Google”. If I’m not wrong, it’s part of a special Adsense program for publishers with very, very high traffic.

  3. ZMAng: Thanks for the info, tis a shame though. I’d like some control over the font sizes.

  4. ZMAng, you are right. I was not aware of it myself until very recently. This is what it says on Google about “Premium” AdSense service:

If your site receives more than 20 million page views a month, you may be eligible for premium service, which includes:

    Customized revenue terms
    Flexible ad formats
    More robust filtering
    Assistance with site optimization
Technical support from a sales engineer
Business support from a dedicated account manager
    Monetization of search results
