If all the hype and news is true, Wordpress.com is set to give Typepad a run for its money. Some of the comments are very interesting to read and gauge the wide variety of consumer/user opinions on these developments.

I am hopeful that Matt et al will be able to continue the development and promotion of Wordpress.com (and the software that runs Wordpress.com) after keeping up with the pressures and trials of Wordpress.org Since Matt has not publicly disclosed the workings or the philosophy behind Wordpress.com, I will not get into discussing it at all. However, I will say that I am excited and would like to congratulate Matt on taking the first step.

  1. I’m excited as can be for Matt, and most of the press I’ve read this early on is positive, but that article in post is pretty negative towards him. The writer is a total dick. He equates Matt to a snake oil salesman and scam artist. I think we all know what a crock of shit that is.
