Cool Scripts, WordPress Hack

Kitten has released version 2.0 of her Spam Words Plugin: After the recent comment and pingback flood that I had overnight, I think this is going to be the solution. As usual, Kitten has done a great job with this upgrade to her original spam words plugin. Here are some of the details of the upgrade:

# User approval and editing of the items being added to the spam list before they’re added.
# The “Delete Comments as Spam” button is now inserted via the DOM, and no longer requires editing of core files.
# Backwards compatible with version 1.1. So if you’ve already edited edit-comments.php you can install version 2.0 and it won’t break your page.
# Complete documentation.
# GPG signed code to ensure that it hasn’t been tampered with.

This is pretty slick(pending implementation), Thanks Kitten!!

  1. I really don’t want to bother you or be a nuisance, but it would be SO nice if you upgraded your FeedDemon to WordPress hack as you said you would - this weekend. ;-) (Not to stress you, though… ;-))

Just because you are as persistant, I will put it off for another month! ;)
Expect to see it later this weekend. :)

  3. Thank you very much! :-)

Plese take a look how I handle my spam. Works quite nice after a while when I have added the most common IP where I get the spam from. Hopefully the new version of WP will fix this.
