   Majorly broken. I pasted into the myhacks.php (which had nothing else in it) and activated it via control panel, then I couldn’t get back into my site because I kept getting a page that said “please do not access this page directly!”

   I panicked until I managed to fix it… somehow.

   Aha! Thank you. I’ll go check it out and give it another try. On the bright side, this has taught me to back up everything before trying something new.

   As you may have noticed, I have made improvements to the “commenting experience” at this blog. The first is the “Recent Comments” section, which can currently be seen on the sidebar at your right. This was simple copy and pasting from the WordPress…
