So…When you say the end of July what you really mean is July 10th? I am afraid my respect for this blog/plugin/competition has just dropped. My friend tells me I should expect this kind of moving target from the open source community..lack of standards and rules…I guess that is the open part of this community?
The text from the page above is for last years competition. The deadlines for this year have always been 10th May to 10th July and were mentioned in the first post about the competition on the main weblogtoolscollection.com blog (though I did have to do some hunting to find them).
What the heck? The above comments are not true surely. That the competition has already been run? That would be rather concerning to me if it is as I still haven’t submitted my plugin.
Ah, now I get it. The comments above were from 2008! The competition for 2009 still has another few weeks to go according to the latest blog posts on the topic:
